As part of the fledgling operations and development of SAMA Tourism Villages, SAMA Al Wasil serves to introduce both residents and visiting tourists to the wonders of the "Wahiba Sands" area of Oman.

Nestled in a flat valley some 5kms long by 2kms wide, it is surrounded by dunes of various heights, affording the guest the real feeling of being isolated in the desert, away from the outside World.

SAMA Al Wasil consists of 20 x One & Two Bedroom ensuite Chalets with hot showers and outside patio for those moments when you wish to be alone. It also has a Tented Village of traditional Bedouin Tents perched on top of sand dunes to give that more authentic feel of desert life, the Village consisting of a large Group Tent and smaller individual tents for families and couples.

To add that something special, SAMA Al Wasil has created a number of facilities that will make your stay that bit more interesting than just a trip to the desert, which is itself awe-inspiring and unforgettable.

Get your friends or Village neighbours together and have a great game of "Beach" Soccer / Volleyball / Rugby, in the specially created Sports Arena, or take a dip in the pool whilst watching your kids have fun on the Adventure Playground. In the evening take a camel ride to the "Sunset Tent" to view the fabulous sunset and dazzling night sky without the distraction of artificial light. SAMA Al Wasil will also stimulate the mind, by demostrating arts and crafts whilst also staging local folklore performances on stage.

SAMA Al Wasil is not only a place of Leisure and relaxation, it is also a great Corporate venue for seminars, lectures, merchandising, or product launches. Whilst educational & research field trips can also be conducted using SAMA Al Wasim as a great base.

SAMA Tourism Villages have gone to great lengths to ensure your comfort and safety, with its staff put through professional Fire Warden & First Aid COurses, supported by strategically placed safety equipment and procedures.
